Urban Accents Introduces New Look for Popcorn Line
Handcrafted look emphasizes small batch, targets specialty snacking shoppers

SAN FRANCISCO – JANUARY 21, 2018 – As the snack category continues to grow year over year, Urban Accents has introduced a complete redesign of its best-selling popcorn kernel and popcorn seasoning line. The new labels feature a playful, poster art inspired design that puts the emphasis on the seasoning flavor or kernel variety.

Consumers of all ages are seeking better-for-you snacks, and the new design highlights the seasonings’ “0 calories per serving” claim and the kernels’ Non-GMO Project Verified status.

“Our popcorn line has many devoted fans and has found a nice niche in the specialty food retail space,” says Tom Knibbs, President and co-founder of Urban Accents. “It’s been in our line for over 15 years, and we think it will appeal to many new snackers.”

The kernel varietals are Non-GMO Project Verified, sourced from a Midwest farm and include:

  • Premium White Gold – Classic and light yellow kernels pop with a fluffy texture
  • Crunchy Ruby Red – Deep red kernels pop with a hint of sweet nuttiness
  • Red, White & Blue Tricolor – A festive blend of Ruby Red, Indigo and White Gold for a mixture of textures

The zero calorie, naturally flavored and gluten-free popcorn seasonings flavor profiles include:

  • Buttery Caramel Corn
  • Sizzlin’ Spicy Sriracha
