Long-Awaited Gluten Free Version of the Company’s Most Popular Cookie Will Debut at Fancy Food Show

Winston-Salem, N.C., January 17, 2016 – Salem Baking Company will introduce Gluten Free Moravian Cookies in Double Chocolate, Toasted Coconut and Salted Caramel at the Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco at booth #530.

“Our chefs worked tirelessly to perfect each recipe with the goal of creating the very best gluten free cookies available, “said Scott Livengood, president and CEO of Salem Baking Company. “Consumers shouldn’t have to sacrifice great flavor in order to be gluten free, so we wanted these new cookies to be just as flavorful and delicious as our classic Moravian Cookies.”

Flavors include:

  • Double Chocolate

Rich melted artisan chocolate is poured into each batch and blended with premium cocoa.

  • Toasted Coconut

Sweet toasted coconut flakes are combined with whole eggs and pure cane sugar.

  • Salted Caramel

Creamy caramel is melted and folded into the dough, mingling with just a pinch of sea salt.

Each flavor is baked using only the finest, most essential ingredients, with no preservatives, artificial colors, or artificial flavors. These 5-ounce boxes have an SRP of $5.99, and will be available to ship in February.

Salem Baking Company also offers Gluten Free Delightfully Thin & Crispy Cookies in Chocolate Chip, Caramel Chocolate Chip and White Chocolate Macadamia.
