Reviving The Pudding Aisle with a New Twist on a Southern Family Classic

South & Spoon is the brainchild of Maria Manning, who began with an old family recipe brought to Maria’s Italian family in the 1970’s by her sister-in-law, whose Southern family had enjoyed the decadent treat for several generations. “We’ve enjoyed this fantastic treat for decades and it occurred to me that this was something that could, and really should, be shared with everybody,” says Manning, South & Spoon CEO and Founder. “Lauren and I are both big fans of honest food done well and that is the heart of our business. The mixes are simple to prepare. You just need eggs and milk and it takes only 10 minutes to cook on the stove top.
