January 2016, Edison, NJ – If life gave you lemons, you’d probably make lemonade. But when Italian company Niasca Portofino has lemons they create Limonata del Tigullio, a lightly-carbonated, crisp twist on the traditional summertime beverage.
Limonata’s refreshing taste, like all great products, is spurned from excellent, all-natural ingredients. The company, started in the coastal picturesque town of Portofino, prides itself on using only the healthiest and lightest waters from Europe as well as its home-grown lemons, combined with pure cane sugar to create a perfectly-balanced beverage. The added hint of elderflowers and gentle carbonation account for a uniquely delicate flavor.
After achieving an ever-growing popularity of Limonata in the U.S. through its strong sales at Eataly stores, Niasca decided to expand the line with the launch of Mandarinata; Limonata’s companion beverage produced from Portofino’s mandarins. The mandarins are hand-selected and combined with carbonated water, cane sugar, and natural flavorings like infusions of iris flowers, to create a sparkling bouquet, both subtle and complex in flavor.
Colavita is proud to add Limonata and Mandarinata to its growing portfolio of celebrated food and drink products. The beverages will be available in specialty food stores, supermarkets, and grocery stores throughout the United States.
A tasting of both beverages will be held at the Colavita booth (#4215) at this year’s Winter Fancy Food Show.
